How does subscription billing work for Texty Pro’s business texting services?

Texty Pro’s business texting runs on a monthly or annual subscription that renews automatically. Plans are based on how many text messages you expect to send each month. Receiving messages is free, but sending may require SMS credits. Keep reading to learn more.

Texty Pro offers a subscription-based service for its landline texting platform. When you sign up for a Texty Pro account, you’ll choose a subscription plan based on your business needs. Plans are priced according to the number of text messages you expect to send each month. Incoming SMS messages are free, while outgoing SMS messages use credits included in your plan.

How Credits Work:

Each plan comes with a monthly credit allowance:

  • 1 credit = 1 outgoing SMS (up to 160 characters)
  • 3 credits = 1 outgoing MMS (includes images or media)
  • 3 credits = 1 incoming MMS
  • Incoming SMS = Free
  • If a message exceeds the standard SMS character limit, multiple credits may be used. MMS messages (media, images, or long messages) always cost 3 credits, whether incoming or outgoing.

    Overage Charges:

    If you exceed your monthly credit allowance, you won’t be cut off. Texty Pro automatically tracks your usage:

    • Additional (overage) credits will be charged at your plan's per-credit rate, which may vary by plan (see pricing page).
    • Overage charges will be billed to your payment method on file during your next billing cycle.

    You also have the option to upgrade your plan at any time to avoid overage charges.

    Getting Started:

    After selecting your plan, you’ll provide your existing landline number. Texty Pro will enable texting on that number without affecting your voice service. Once activated, you can send and receive texts through the Texty Pro platform, all while keeping your existing number.

    You can also invite your team members to join your Texty Pro account and use the same landline number, allowing them to send and receive messages from their own devices.

    Subscription & Billing:

    Texty Pro offers monthly or annual auto-renewing subscriptions. Your subscription fee covers access to the platform, your included message credits, and all the technical infrastructure needed to send and receive SMS and MMS using your landline number.

    There are no long-term contracts, and you can cancel or change your plan anytime. While texting doesn’t affect your phone line’s voice service, a subscription is required to use Texty Pro’s messaging features.
