What is Spam?

Spam text is a text message that is sent to a phone without the recipient's consent or interest, usually to promote a product or service. Texty Pro strictly forbids any spam texting.

Spam text messages and phishing

Scammers use fake text messages to get your personal information, such as your password, account number, or Social Security number. They can use this information to hack your email, bank, or other accounts, or sell it to other scammers.

Scammers may tempt you to click on links in text messages by offering you something such as:

• free prizes, gift cards, or coupons
• give you a low or no interest credit card
• say they can help you with your student loans

Scammers may also send fake messages that pretend to have information about your account or a transaction to:

• claim they saw some suspicious activity on your account
• say there is a problem with your payment information
• send you a fake invoice and ask you to contact them if you didn't make the purchase
• send you a package delivery notification

The messages may ask you for some personal information — like your income, debt, or bank account, credit card, or Social Security number — to get your gift or deal. Or they may ask you to click on a link to learn more about the issue. Some links may take you to a fake website that looks real but isn't. If you log in, the scammers may steal your username and password.

Other messages may put harmful malware on your phone that takes your personal or financial information without you knowing it.

How to report abuse to Texty Pro

We have an Anti-Spam policy for all of our subscribers. This means that we do not allow unsolicited text messages of any kind, such as notifications, alerts, or offers. If you receive any spam messages, please report them to us. You can do this by providing the following information:

• The sender's phone number
• Your mobile number (to be removed)
• The date and time of the message
• The content of the message
• A screenshot of the message

We will register your report immediately and investigate the account for breaking our Anti-Spam policy. Please let us know if you encounter any abuse or violations of our service's proper use by contacting us immediately. We do not tolerate any abuse and will terminate an account if they are found to be breaking our Anti-Spam Policy. The identity of the individual or entity reporting the abuse will be kept confidential.
