Sending a text message to a group of recipients

When you send a text message to multiple recipients, they are sent as individual SMS messages. The customer will not see that this text message was sent to others.

Is it possible to send a group text message through SMS like iMessage?

Group texting through SMS has some limitations that may prevent it from being successful. The most common limitation is that the number of recipients in a single group text is limited by the mobile carrier. Some carriers may allow only up to 10 or 20 recipients.

Another limitation is that when sending a group text, each recipient receives the message as an individual text message, which means that each message may count as a separate SMS or MMS message depending on the content, and this could result in additional charges for the sender or the recipient.

Additionally, group texting through SMS does not allow for advanced features such as read receipts, message reactions, or the ability to remove recipients from the conversation.

For these reasons, many people choose to use messaging apps or specialized business texting platforms like Texty Pro for group messaging, which often offer additional features and better flexibility than SMS.
